Men’s Gymnastics Advance Three to NCAA Individual Event Final – Ohio State Buckeyes

University Park, Pa. – Ohio State’s Mike Morgan (Jr., Cincinnati, Ohio) placed tenth in the NCAA All-Around competition with a score of 56.15. Morgan also advanced to Saturday night’s individual event finals on the pommel horse. The Buckeye’s Doug Stibel (Jr., Canton, Mich.) qualified for the event finals on the high bar and floor exercise. Peter Landry (Jr., Lewiston, Maine) qualified for the event finals on the still rings.
Defending NCAA men’s gymnastics champion California along with Iowa and Illinois finished as the top three teams in the team preliminary competition Thursday night. These teams advanced to Friday night’s team finals for the NCAA Championship. Ohio State finished sixth in the preliminaries.
