Women’s Lacrosse Beats Denison 19-4 – Ohio State Buckeyes

Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s lacrosse team destroyed in-state foe Denison, scoring a team-high nineteen goals at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center to down the Big Red 19-4 Tuesday afternoon.
Denison proved to be no match for the Buckeyes as Ohio State scored their first goal within the first 20 seconds of the game. The Bucks never looked back as they put on a scoring clinic in the first half scoring fifteen goals. Mara Simpson (Sr., Worthington, Ohio) led the Buckeyes in the first half scoring a hat-trick, and four goals overall. Cathy Russo (Sr., Huntington, N.Y.) scored a career high four goals, two of which came in the last three minutes of the game.
Ohio State will host its last game of the season against the Penn State Nitttany Lions on Saturday, April 18.
