Women’s Crew Turns in Strong Showing at Head of Ohio Regatta – Ohio State Buckeyes

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Ohio State crew team’s Varsity 8 boat took fourth place at the Head of Ohio regatta last Saturday. The Buckeyes finished at 13:13 in the women’s open 8, 13 seconds behind champion Virginia. The Junior Varsity 8 boat finished with a time of 13:32 to finish ninth. Coach Andy Teitelbaum was pleased with Ohio State’s showing at the regatta.%^$
“Being so close to the Virginia boats demonstrates that we’re right in the ballgame,” Teitelbaum said. “We’re clearly good and we’re going to get even better.”%^$
The Head of Ohio was sponsored by the Three Rivers Rowing Association and benefited the Mercy Burn Center.%^$
Next for the Buckeyes is the Head of Charles in Boston, Mass. The Oct. 17 event is the largest single-day regatta in the world, with university and national teams from around the world in competition. %^$
