Buckeyes Lose to Indiana 0-3 – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Despite a 16-kill performance by Rosie Snow, Ohio State (10-9 overall, 3-7 Big Ten) came up short against Indiana (11-8, 4-6), losing 17-15, 4-15, 11-15 Saturday in Bloomington. Jen Flynn added 12 kills and Dana Stearns 10 for OSU. Indiana received a 16-kill, 11-dig performance from Jen Magelssen to go along with 14 kills by Ryann Connors.
%^$Ohio State trailed 6-1 and 12-4, before cutting the lead to 13-11. The Hoosiers had two game points stopped by the Buckeyes, allowing OSU to tie the score at 14. An Indiana error put the Buckeyes up 15-14 and serving for the match. Indiana sided out and scored the next three points to win the game, 17-15. OSU was outhit in the game .333 to .212.
%^$OSU held a 2-1 lead in game two before Indiana scored the next 13 points to lead 14-2. The Buckeyes cut the Indiana lead to 10 while holding off three game points, but the Hoosiers took the game 15-4. Indiana against hit .333 in the game to OSU’s -.061.
%^$Game three saw Indiana up 10-5 before OSU countered with six points to take an 11-10 lead. After and IU time out, the Hoosiers used to OSU errors and two kills to finish the game at 15-11. Indiana hit .364 in the game to .245 for OSU.
%^$For the match the Hoosiers hit .346 to .162 for the Buckeyes. IU outblocked OSU 9.5 to 8 and outdug the Buckeyes 52 to 39. Both teams had five aces.
%^$OSU returns home this week to face #18 Illinois (15-5, 8-2) on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. and Purdue (11-8, 5-5) on Saturday at 7 p.m. That match will be taped by Fox Sports Chicago for replay on Nov. 1 at 5 p.m. eastern.
