COLUMBUS, Ohio – Jacob Pasteur was named the offensive player of the week by the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association after he led Ohio State (7-6, 3-3 MIVA) to a pair of MIVA wins last week, both 3-0 sweeps of Quincy and Lindenwood in Columbus.
He hit .596 for the week with 31 kills on 47 swings and just three errors. He had no errors vs. Lindenwood in notching 15 kills on 21 swings (.714).
He also added a pair of aces and five blocks in the two matches and led the Buckeyes with 35.5 points.
The Buckeyes return to the court at 7 p.m. Saturday in a nonconference game against Lincoln Memorial at the Covelli Center. The same teams will meet again at 4 p.m. Sunday.
