COLUMBUS, Ohio – Izzy Rodriguez and Devon Kerr, members of the Ohio State women’s soccer team, have earned United Soccer Coaches All-North Region honors, the organization announced Monday. Rodriguez was named a first team all-region defender while Kerr was the second team all-region goalkeeper.
Rodriguez, a first team All-Big Ten selection, tied for the team lead with four goals while adding a pair of assists for a team-best 10 points. The Canton, Mich., native appeared in 19 matches, including 18 starts, after returning from the U-20 Women’s World Cup in France in August. Rodriguez, who played the full match 17 times, had three of her goals win or tie the match and had both of her assists come on game-winning goals.
Kerr, the 2018 Big Ten Goalkeeper of the year and a first team All-Big Ten pick, tied for third in the Big Ten with eight shutouts while ranking fourth with an .826 save percentage and a 0.78 goals-against average. The senior concluded her Buckeye career third in Ohio State history with 19 shutouts and a 0.82 goals-against average.
