COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State sophomore forward Dorka Juhasz followed up her stellar freshman season with an even better sophomore campaign and on Monday, she was named first team All-Big Ten. Buckeye freshman Kierstan Bell was also named to the five member All-Freshmen Team and was an honorable mention selection.
Juhasz has led the team in scoring and rebounding each of the last two seasons, averaging 13.3 points and 9.1 rebounds per game this year. She is fourth in the conference with eight double-doubles on the year and she has notched a double-double in each of the last four games. At 6-4, Juhasz is one of just four players nationally 6-4 or taller with 33 or more made three-pointers this season.
Last year, Juhasz was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team and earned second team All-Big Ten honors.

Bell has been a spark off the bench for the Buckeyes this year as she is the only other player averaging in double figures at 11.1 points per game. She leads the team with 47 three-pointers which is second among Big Ten freshmen and her 11.1 ppg is third. The Canton, Ohio native was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week three times this year which was tied for the most in the conference and was also the National Freshman of the Week on Dec. 9 after leading the Buckeyes to wins over No. 2 Louisville and Radford.

Juhasz is the 18th Buckeye to earn first team All-Big Ten honors while Bell is the 13th Buckeye on the All-Freshman Team. Ohio State has had a first team honoree in 15 of the last 16 seasons and an All-Freshmen Team member in three of the last four.
Freshman Jacy Sheldon was Ohio State’s 2019-20 Sportsmanship honoree. She has also had a special freshman season, averaging 9.1 ppg which is third on the team. Sheldon leads the team with 39 steals and has also made 37 three-pointers.
The Buckeyes finished the regular season 18-11 overall and 11-7 in the conference which was tied for fifth. OSU is the sixth seed in this week’s Big Ten Tournament and will play either Minnesota or Penn State in the second round on Thursday evening at 8:50 p.m.
