COLUMBUS, Ohio – Devon Kerr and Izzy Rodriguez, members of the Ohio State women’s soccer team, have garnered Big Ten weekly honors following the Buckeyes’ wins at Illinois and No. 21 Northwestern, the conference office announced Tuesday. Kerr was named Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week while Rodriguez earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week laurels.
Kerr, who earns her third-career Big Ten weekly honor, notched a pair of shutouts last week in wins at Illinois and No. 21 Northwestern. The senior tied her season-high eight saves in the 2-0 win over the Illini and followed that up with four saves in a 1-0 win at Northwestern. The Barrie, Ontario, native now has four clean sheets on the year and 15 in her career to tie Nicole Morris for third on the Ohio State career list.
