COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Ohio State Pistol team traveled west for the Rocky Mountain Invitational and posted an Open score of 6,599 (2,240 air; 2,231 sport; 2,094 standard) to put them in first place for all three events. The Buckeyes captured their sixth Rocky Mountain Invitational title in a row.
Shrenik Jain and Samuel Gens were the top individuals in Standard Pistol and Air Pistol, respectively, while Gens and Katelyn Abeln tied for the top spot in Sport Pistol.
Notable highlights that contributed to the win include Samuel Gens placing first in Air Pistol and second in Sport Pistol. Shrenik Jain came in at first in Standard Pistol as well as 3-Gun Aggregate.

WOMEN:
Ohio State did not compete in the women’s team category.
Abeln and Emily Rust placed first and second, respectively, in Women’s Sport Pistol. Abeln also came in second for Women’s Air Pistol.
The team will be back in action November 9 against Navy.
