TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Behind a second round 70 from Aneka Seumanutafa, Ohio State women’s golf is right in the mix through two rounds of the Florida State Match Up at the Seminole Legacy Golf Course in Tallahassee.
The Buckeyes are in sixth place at 27-over par. Host Florida State has run away with the top spot, leading by 20 shots. But third through ninth are separated by just 10 shots and the Buckeyes find themselves squarely in the middle of that group.
Seumanutafa rebounded from an opening round of 3-over 75 to card a 2-under 70 on Saturday. Her round was one of just six under-par rounds on the day. She starts the final round in a tie for fourth at 1-over.
Lauren Peter followed her first round 73 with a 75 and is tied for 13th at 4-over par. She is seeking her first top-10 finish since finishing sixth at the Lady Buckeye in 2019.
Skylar Thompson carded a 78 on Saturday and is in a tie for 41st while Kailie Vongsaga and Kristin Jamieson each posted a round of 80.
The Buckeyes are paired with Coastal Carolina and Michigan on Sunday and the trio will begin at 8:50 am off the first tee.
