COLUMBUS, Ohio – The College Gymnastics Association (CGA) announced its top-10 academic teams and individual All-America Scholar-Athletes. Ohio State ranked seventh as a team as it finished the school year with a 3.180 GPA. Ten individuals were named 2022 First Team All-America Scholar-Athletes, while two were named to the second team.
To qualify for the first team, an individual must earn a 3.5 grade-point average or higher. Individuals who earn a GPA between 3.20 and 3.499 are honored on the second team.
Ohio State gymnasts to make the first team include: Andrew Brower (4.0), Arthur Ashton, Donovan Hewitt, Logan McGlynn, Jadon Roberson, Tyler Rockwood, Dexter Roettker, Harrison Andary, Kameron Nelson, Curtis Chang and Jesse Tyndall.
Buckeyes on the second team include: Tomohiro Kawada and Angel Leon.
Andrew Brower, Curtis Chang and Dexter Roettker earned a spot on the Academic All-America First Team for all four years of their eligibility.
