COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State synchronized (artistic) swimming team once again embarks on its tradition of traveling to Virginia, hitting the road to compete against Richmond on Saturday, Feb. 12 and William & Mary on Sunday, Feb. 13. Saturday’s meet against the Spiders is set for 2 p.m. while Sunday’s competition begins at 11 a.m.
The Buckeyes will swim trio, duet, solo and team routines on Saturday at Richmond. The William & Mary meet will feature trio, duet, solo and team routines as well as technical events.
Last Time Out
Ohio State competed last weekend at the Jessica Beck Memorial Competition, defeating Michigan in its second straight meet. The Buckeyes debuted their team routines and earned first-place finishes in each category. The trio of Hannah Heffernan, Paige Hopper and Rachel Jager earned their best score of the season with an 82.6333 to win the event. Laila Huric and Nikki Dzurko merited an 84.9667 score for their duet performance to win the event for the second straight meet. In the solo competition, Dzurko took first with a score of 84.7667. The Gray team of Camryn Carrasco, Ava Lichter, Paula Luis, Olivia Malloy, Trinity Patton, Olivia Schafer, Haley Watson and Megan Wong garnered an 82.1333 in their routine debut to take first for the Buckeyes.

Ohio State closes out the regular season next weekend at the University of Arizona Collegiate Open and the Wheaton College Invitational on Friday, Feb. 18 and Saturday, Feb. 19.
