Women’s Soccer Falls to Wright State – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Buckeye women’s soccer team suffered its first loss since Oct. 9 as Wright State bested Ohio State 2-1 at the WSU Soccer Field Tuesday afternoon. OSU moves to 10-7-1 for the year and the Raiders are now 6-9-1. Heather Ennemoser put the Raiders on the board in the 22nd minute, knocking in an Andi Stull corner kick. The goal marked the first relinquished by OSU keeper Amber Barnes (So., Fairfield, Ohio) in 480 minutes. The Raiders went up 2-0 in the 69th minute as Brooke Mollenkamp tapped in a Kelly Hartman pass for the game-winning goal.
Becky Borchers (Sr., Dayton, Ohio) pulled the Buckeyes within one in the 74th minute, putting in a direct free kick for her second goal in three games. Wright State goalkeeper Andrea Packer recorded six saves on the day with a stellar performance between the pipes. OSU outshot WSU 10-4, but Packer’s brilliant performance left the Bucks with just one goal.
OSU’s final regular season game is this Saturday against Arkansas at 1 p.m.
