• Pinned Kent State’s Ethan McCoy in 4:13

• 20 of his 29 wins were via bonus points (team-high 12 technical falls, seven major decisions, one fall)
• Champion at the Findlay Open, Michigan State Open and Penn State Open
• Runner-up at the season-opening Eastern Michigan where he won two matches via tech fall and two by major decision

PRIOR TO OHIO STATE
• Eleventh ranked recruit nationally by Flowrestling and second at 138 lbs

• 38-0 as a senior in leading Park Hill to its third straight state championship all but seven of his matches were decided by pin or technical fall
• Kansas City Star All-Metro Wrestler of the Year
• 2013 Walsh Ironman champion, two-time Kansas City Stampede champion and a three-time Missouri state champion

• Wrestled in the USAW Cadet/Junior National Tournament in Fargo, N.D. and was a three-time freestyle All-American (finished third, third and runner-up)
