2015-16 Season: Finished 7-9 overall and 1-4 in duals … picked up his one dual match win against Nathan Wynkoop of Cleveland State in a 10-3 decision on Nov. 24 … filled in for an injured Jake Ryan vs. Michigan (157 lbs.), Indiana and Purdue … went 3-2 at the season-opening Eastern Michigan Open … Academic All-Big Ten and OSU Scholar-Athlete.
2014-15 Season: Filled in for an injured Bo Jordan to begin the dual match season and finished his campaign by going 10-10 overall … wrestled in six dual matches … pinned Tyler Buckwalter of Kent State with just 14 seconds left in the third period during the Buckeyes’ 38-3 home-opening win … OSU Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Big Ten.
2013-14 Season: Finished third in 165-pound bracket at Purple Raider Open (Jan. 19) … competed in six open tournaments during season.
2012-13 Season: In first season as a Buckeye, compiled an 18-10 overall record competing in several open tournaments … finished third in 165-pound weight class at Greyhound Open (Feb. 2)… fourth-place finisher at Simonson Open (Feb. 9) at 165 pounds … finished fifth at Harrison Open (Nov. 17) in 141-pound bracket.
Prior to Ohio State: Third-place finisher at Ohio High School Athletic Association state tournament in 2012 … 2012 Northeast Ohio Conference champion … compiled a 106-34 career record, including a 49-7 record in 2012 … two-year team captain of a Solon team that was nationally ranked and finished fourth in 2012 … other tournament wins include: Comet Classic and North Coast Classic … second at sectionals in 2009 and 2010 … finished fifth at districts in 2010 and was fifth at Powerade Tournament … unable to compete in 2011 because of injury … also lettered (2) in football and played baseball at Solon High School … first team all-conference and honorable mention all-district in football.
