2013-14 Season – Runner-up at Storm Open (Jan. 5), wrestling at 174 pounds … finished fifth in 174-pound bracket at Greyhound Open (Feb. 1) … collected 13 wins in open tournaments … received starting nod at NWCA National Duals (Feb. 16-17) vs. Hofstra’s Frank Affronti, Kent State’s Caleb Marsh and Minnesota’s Logan Storley … had seven falls on the season … Academic All-Big Ten … Ohio State Scholar-Athlete.
Prior to Ohio State – Three-time Ohio High School Athletic Association qualifier; finished fifth in 2011 at 171 pounds and seventh in 2012 at 184 pounds … two-time ECOL champion … two-time Tribuneland’s Wrestler of the Year … amassed a 50-4 and 43-6 records during junior and senior seasons, respectively … four-time team captain … three-time MVP … three-time sectional champion … finished high school career leading Coshocton all-time in wins with 169 (33 losses), pins with 86 and technical falls with 24 … lettered and named All-ECOL in football; played fullback and middle linebacker; team captain; accumulated 1,100 yards and 12 touchdowns during senior year and recorded 424 tackles … Coshocton was 2009 regional champions and 2011 regional runner-up; named team MVP … track letterwinner; 2010 district qualifier in discus; Coshocton was 2010 ECOL Champions … three-time academic All-Ohio.
Personal – Son of Jim and Carolyn … has two siblings, Jordan and Jeremy … following undergraduate studies, would like to enroll in The Ohio State University School of Dentistry and specialize in Orthodontics and eventually open his own practice … hobbies include reading and biking … list greatest sports memory as making the goal line tackle on fourth down vs. Ironton to help win the football regional title.
