• Posted a perfect 6-0 season record and concluded the year with three straight pins
• Won both dual starts, knocking off a pair of Big Ten foes in Bryce Martin (Indiana) and Jacob Morrissey (Purdue)
• Pinned Morrissey in 34 seconds
• Champion of the Purple Raider Open, racking up two pins and a major decision
2016-17 (Redshirt Sophomore)
• Eighth at the Big Ten Championships and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships
• Defeated fifth-seeded Joseph Gunther of Iowa in the wrestlebacks at the Big Ten Championships
• Champion of the 165 lbs. bracket at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic; two of his three wins were via bonus points
• Finished eighth at the CKLV Invitational, going 4-2
• Scored the decisive point in a 7-6 decision over Northwestern Johnny Sebastian in a regular season dual with a third-period escape
• Faced the nation’s No. 1, 3 and 4-ranked wrestlers during the regular season in duals
• Finished with a 17-17 overall record
• Had four pins, the fastest coming in just 40 seconds
2015-16 (Redshirt Freshman)
• Went 12-10 with six appearances in duals
• Competed at the Big Ten Championships where he upset seventh-seeded Andrew Crone of Wisconsin in the opening round
• Won by fall over Illinois’ Kyle Langendorfer in wrestlebacks
• Began the season as the Buckeyes’ starter at 149 lbs.
• Was sidelined with an injury beginning in December
• Champion at the Eastern Michigan Open, going 6-0 with two wins via bonus points
• Pinned Thomas Miller of Virginia in 4:06 during the Buckeyes’ home-opener vs. Virginia
2014-15 (Redshirt)
• Was 11-7 in his first season with the Scarlet and Gray competing in open tournaments
• Six of his 11 wins were via points (five pins, one major decision)
• Reached the finals of the Purple Raider Open, going 4-1 overall
• Won by fall in the quarterfinals
PRIOR TO OHIO STATE
• Two-time Ohio state runner up and four-time state placer
• Helped Claymont to a second-place team finish in Division II as a senior
• Finished fourth in the state at 138 pounds last season
