2016-17 (Redshirt Junior)
• Wrestled in the Ohio Open (Nov. 13) and cracked the lineup vs. Maryland (Jan. 22)
• Started the season with an 8-4 decision at the Ohio Open
2015-16 (Redshirt Sophomore)
• Competed in 11 matches, all at open tournaments, and was 4-7 overall with amajor decision and fall
• Picked up his first two wins of the year at the Michigan State Open, finishing 2-2 overall for eighth place
2014-15 (Redshirt Freshman)
Went 5-6 overall and made a part of starts on varsity dual matches – vs. Kent State (11/13) and Arizona State (11/15) … went 4-2 at the Purple Raider Invitational … defeated Cameron Bowen of Virginia Tech by major decision (13-4) in the consolation third round
2013-14 (Redshirt)
• Competed in four open tournaments at 141 and 149 pounds – Clarion Open (Nov. 3), CSU Open (Dec. 14), Storm Open (149 pounds) and Purple Raider Open (Jan. 19)
PRIOR TO OHIO STATE
• Four-year letterwinner for Lakewood Ranch wrestling team
• Compiled a 126-26 high school record
• Also lettered in football (safety), swimming (50 & 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke) and weightlifting (138 weight class)
• 2011-12 wrestling MVP
• 2012-13 wrestling team captain
• All-county honorable mention in 2011 and 2012
• 2012 wrestling all-area honorable mention
PERSONAL
• Son of Kim and Sandy
• Has one brother, Kyle, who also wrestled for the Buckeyes
• Involved in numerous community service initiatives, including blood drive committee, Students Above the Influence, Students Working Against Tobacco and Meals on Wheels.
