Cailly O’Toole begins her first season as an assistant and the novice coach in 2023-24. It is her seventh year as a part of the Ohio State Rowing program.
O’Toole was a student-athlete at Ohio State from 2017-19 and helped the Buckeyes sweep the Big Ten Championship in 2018. Upon medically retiring, O’Toole promptly joined the coaching staff as an undergraduate assistant working primarily with the walk-on program.
After graduating with her undergraduate degree in Sport Industry, she continued her education and coaching career at Ohio State. O’Toole worked as the Graduate Assistant coach during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons. The Buckeyes won the Big Ten Championship in 2022 and in the 2023 season the Buckeyes finished second at the championship.
She received her Master’s degree in Sports Coaching in May 2023.
Prior to becoming a Buckeye, O’Toole rowed out of Newport Aquatic Center in Newport Beach, California.
