- Advanced to the finals of the ITA Midwest Regional singles draw before falling to teammate JJ Tracy in the championship match
- Also advanced to the finals of the doubles draw with Tracy at the ITA Midwest Regional, finishing runner-up in that draw as well
- Reached the round of 16 at the ITA Fall National Singles Championship
- Was undefeated in dual singles matches all spring, losing just once in the semifinals of the NCAA Championship against TCU
- Was dominant all spring, playing just seven three-set matches and winning five of the seven with the other two going unfinished
2022-23 (Freshman)
- Was an All-American in his first season, finishing with a singles record of 25-5
- Recorded singles wins between the No. 2-5 positions
- Was undefeated in Big Ten matches and was named first team All-Big Ten
- Had a great collegiate debut, advancing through qualifying and reaching the round of 16 at the ITA All-American Championship, beating four ranked players along the way
- Would finish the year with a team-high tying nine wins over ranked opponents
- Providing back-to-back clinching points in the NCAA Tournament in Orlando. With the team match tied 3-3, he won five consecutive games to comeback and beat Miguel Perez Pena of Georgia 6-4, 7-5 to send the Buckeyes to the semifinals. Then beat No. 92 Sebastian Gorzny of TCU 6-4, 6-4 in the semifinals
- Became just the third Buckeye freshman to earn All-America honors as he advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Singles Championship

- Career-high of No. 9 in the ITF world junior rankings
- Played in 14 professional events in 2022 reaching the quarterfinals in four Futures tournaments, including back-to-back semifinal appearances in Cancun in May
- Reached to the round of 16 at both the Australian Open Juniors and the US Open Juniors
- Had wins at the JA Criciuma, J1 Porto Alegre and J1 Salinas, as well as three more ITF boys 16s clay courts doubles titles
- In 2021, he reached the semifinals of the Boys 18s singles and doubles at Kalamazoo
- In 2019, he won the Boys 16s at Kalamazoo
- Internationally, he represented the United States for the u14 Davis Cup and Junior Davis Cup
- Bernard is the son of John and Leslie Bernard and he has an older brother, and occasional doubles partner, John
