COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ty Tucker, Ohio State head coach, announced the addition of Victor Lilov to the Ohio State men's tennis program Thursday.
Lilov, the son of Kostadinka and Ludmil Lilov, has been ranked as high as No. 3 in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior World Rankings and has consistently been ranked among the Top 5 U.S. players throughout his junior career.
He also has been ranked as high as 497 in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings.
"I am honored to be joining the Buckeyes and cannot wait to compete with the guys on and off the court," Lilov said. "I am grateful to the coaching staff for giving me this opportunity and I am looking forward to fight for the Scarlet and Gray!"
Tucker said Lilov, a native of Miramar, Florida, is ready to be a Buckeye.
"Victor's career speaks for itself," Tucker said. "He spent most of his career being one of America's best young talents. He understands the importance of hard work and looks forward to the challenge of competing for a Big Ten title."
