
Brandon Carpico Named ITA Midwest Rookie of the Year

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State redshirt-freshman Brandon Carpico has been named the ITA Midwest Region Rookie of the Year for the 2024-25 season.
Carpico led the team with a 36-6 doubles record and had a team best 49 combined victories this season. He started the year by winning the doubles titles at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic and the Fighting Irish Mini Duals and reaching the finals of at the Big Ten Doubles Championship. He and Nikita Filin then combined to go 21-4 this spring with a pair of ranked wins and an 8-2 mark in Big Ten matches.
The Gahanna, Ohio native is the 10th Buckeye to earn ITA Midwest Rookie of the Year honors and the first since JJ Tracy in 2021. Carpico is also an All-Big Ten Freshman Team honoree as well as an Academic All-Big Ten honoree and an OSU Scholar-Athlete.
