Taylor Brown joined the Ohio State strength and conditioning staff in 2023. He currently works with the men’s ice hockey and men’s cheer programs.
Prior to joining Ohio State, Brown served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Illinois focusing his efforts on the sports performance for soccer and men’s and women’s tennis. Prior to Illinois, Brown was the strength and conditioning director at Lake Superior State University from 2019-22, overseeing the direction of the strength and conditioning department and sports performance for men’s ice hockey, men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball and men’s and women’s tennis.
From 2018-19, while completing his master’s degree, Brown served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach with the University of Wisconsin-Madison Olympic strength and conditioning department focusing his efforts on men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s rowing and assisting with men’s and women’s ice hockey, volleyball and men’s soccer sports performance.
Brown served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Bethel University from 2016-18, focusing his efforts on women’s ice hockey and men’s and women’s tennis sports performance.
Brown holds certifications through the NSCA and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), and holds other accreditations through USA weightlifting, Functional Movement Screen, NASM, RPR and Ballistic Management.
