Son of Allen and Sally and has two siblings, Charlie, who plays on the men’s hockey team at Minnesota State, and Coco

Attracted to Ohio State because of the opportunity to play Division I hockey in the Big Ten, the coaching staff and because it is his state school
Has worked teaching younger hockey players how to skate
Started playing hockey at age 3 after seeing his preschool classmate dressed as a hockey player for Halloween and becoming interested in the game
Favorite hockey player is Jonathan Toews because “he is the best leader in the NHL right now”
Grew up playing with Ohio State classmate Tommy Parran in the Cleveland Barons organization and was teammates with Buckeye Miguel Fidler in Madison
