- Son of Tracy Davis and Brad Burnside; Father was an All-American golfer at Elon who played professionally and grandfather was an Olympic speed skater

- Wore No. 22 throughout career, but the number is retired at Ohio State, so moved to No. 23 to represent Michael Jordan and Chicago, the city where he grew up
- Enjoys golfing, hiking and playing the guitar
