2016 Senior Season): Earned a ninth-place finish on rings at the Cal/Stanford tri meet (Jan. 24).
2015 (Junior Season): Competed on rings against Michigan (Feb. 28) … represented OSU on rings at the Windy City Invitational (Jan. 17).
Prior to Ohio State: Two-year letterwinner at Temple University … qualifiedfor the NCAA championships as a freshman and sophomore …as a freshman, helped the Owls to a second-consecutive ECAC championship and was an ECAC Rookie of the Week … finished third on rings as a sophomore at the ECAC championships … was an ECAC Specialist of the Week and the top scorer on rings for the Owls … trained and competed at Temple University Boys’ Gymnastics Club and Philadelphia Boys’ Gymnastics Club under Fred Turoff, Theo Maes and San Juan Jones… four-time Junior Olympic qualifier … second place on rings at the 2012 Pennsylvania State Championships … semi-finalist on rings at the Junior Olympic national championships.
Personal: Son of Fred Turoff and Diane Eigner … is an only child … plans on attending graduate school and hopes to go into a career with either college or professional sports … favorite pastimes include playing baseball, traveling and scuba diving … in high school, was a member of the National Honor Society … his father is a former U.S. National Team member, a member of the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame, and the head men’s gymnastics coach at Temple University … lists his greatest sports thrill as helping lead his previous team, Temple, to a second-consecutive ELAC championship and being an NCAA championship qualifier.
