Ohio State Overview
• Mitch Rossi was a member of the Ohio State program for six seasons
• Earned a scholarship for his last two seasons after securing preferred walk-on status in the summer of 2017
• He was a four-time academic all-Big Ten Conference honoree and a four-time OSU Scholar-Athlete who graduated in 2021 with his degree in finance
• He played in 48 games during his career, as tight end, as a fullback and as a critical member of Ohio State’s special teams units
• Had seven career receptions for 47 yards and two touchdowns
• Had three receptions for 19 yards and one touchdown (a three-yarder vs. Iowa) in 2022
• His first career reception was a touchdown: a 1-yarder in the win at Rutgers in 2021
• Also had receptions in 2021 vs. Nebraska, Michigan State and against Utah in the Rose Bowl, a career-long 22-yard catch-and-run for a first down
• Has been part of four Big Ten championship-winning teams and three teams that have made the College Football Playoff

• Rossi played four years of both football and rugby at Franklin High School in Franklin, Tenn., while also competing in basketball for two years
• A two-way standout who played both middle linebacker and running back for the Rebels and head coach Donnie Webb
• Named Region 3-6A offensive most valuable player and all-state as a senior in 2016 when he helped Franklin advance to the state quarterfinals for its deepest post-season run in five years
• Accounted for over 1,200 yards on the ground with 19 touchdowns
• Carried the ball 31 times for 171 yards in a 31-10 playoff win over Memphis White Station
• Made 77 tackles, including 10 for loss, to go along with two sacks, an interception and forced fumble as a junior
• State champion and championship game MVP in rugby
• Is the son of Tom and Deb Rossi
• Has two older siblings: a sister, Molly, and a brother, Jack
