2012-13 (Junior Season): Did not face varsity competition … went undefeated at the OSU Duals by winning all 21 bouts … OSU Scholar-Athlete.
2011-12 (Sophomore Season): Earned an at-large berth to the NCAA championships with a second-place finish at the Midwest Regional … claimed 12 wins in the qualifying rounds at the NCAAs to finish 13th … earned his second Midwest Fencing Conference championship by overcoming teammate Max Stearns in the final bout … finished the regular season with 31 wins, including a unit-best 15 at the NYU Invitational Jan. 15 … OSU Scholar-Athlete … Academic All-Big Ten.
2010-11 (Freshman Season): Finished Top 10 at NCAA Championships with 13 victories, placing 10th … one of four Buckeyes to earn gold at Midwest Fencing Conference Championships … took bronze at Midwest Regional Qualifier … led men[apos]s sabre unit with 34 victories, including a team-high 15 wins at NYU Duals … took seventh at Cincinnati, Ohio, and 26th at Dallas, Texas, North American Cups.
Prior to Ohio State: Ranked fifth in juniors and 12th in seniors in the United States … took bronze at both the Fencing Summer Nationals in the junior competition in 2010 and in the junior tournament in Dijon, France, in 2009.
Personal: Son of Pia and Adrian Douglas … has one sister, Marwenna, and a twin brother, Ewan, who is also on the Ohio State fencing team … has been fencing for seven years … hopes to enter law school following graduation from Ohio State … enjoys playing tennis, squash and racquetball.
