On the banks of the Olentangy, stately Ohio Stadium is one of the most recognizable landmarks in all of college athletics. The horseshoe-shaped stadium is a monument to college football. Attending games in Ohio Stadium has become a Saturday afternoon ritual for Ohio State fans, who flock to the parking lots early to enjoy the gala atmosphere and pageantry that surrounds each and every game. Skeptics scoffed at the thought of a 66,000-seat venue, but they were quickly quieted when an overflow crowd of 71,138 showed up for the dedication game against Michigan on Oct. 21, 1922. Since the opening game against Ohio Wesleyan on Oct. 7, 1922, nearly 40 million fans have streamed through the stadium’s gates. We invite you to explore the hallowed grounds of The Horseshoe to walk the sidelines where Woody once roamed, Archie made history and where the Buckeyes have battled since 1922!
Guided Tours
Our guided stadium tours are the ultimate experience for Buckeye fans! A seasoned Redcoat will take you and your fellow fans behind the scenes of Ohio Stadium, home of the 2025 National Champions! You can purchase timed tickets to our 60-minute basic level Buckeye Tour, or upgrade to the 90-minute VIP Tour to get special access to the Band Center and the Home Locker Room! Every tour participant will receive a commemorative Ohio Stadium Tour challenge coin, while supplies last each year. *2025 National Championship coins will arrive for tour guests scheduled after mid-February.
Group Tours
Ohio Stadium offers a variety of tour options & special pricing for groups of 10 or more. From sports teams and corporate outings to bachelor party stops, bus tours and large birthday parties, we have a tour that will meet your needs! Both the 60-minute basic Buckeye Tour and the 90-minute VIP tours can be booked. Meeting Room and meal add-ons are available for large group tours too. Educational Tours
A special tour specifically for school groups looking for an educational look into the history of Ohio Stadium. Students will step back in time and learn more about the history and architecture of Ohio Stadium. Each student will get a mini fill in the blank workbook to take along as they hear from our Redcoat tour guides! Special pricing is available for large school groups too.
Grapes at the Gridiron Tour
Ohio Stadium sets the stage for Grapes at the Gridiron, a premier wine tasting event that blends elegance with Buckeye spirit. Guests will embark on a five-flight journey featuring meticulously paired appetizers—from sparkling rosé with prosciutto-wrapped melon to a full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon matched with mini beef Wellingtons.
This exclusive evening includes a guided behind-the-scenes tour of Ohio Stadium, offering rare access to iconic locations like team locker rooms and field-level vantage points. Ohio Stadium Gameday Tours
Looking to Explore Ohio Stadium on a Gameday? Now is your chance! Tours will kick off high above the field inside the Press Box, followed by stops in the Huntington Club, NetJets Landing, and down the iconic North Ramp to the field level. Following some time at the field level, guests will be escorted to St. John Arena where you will sit in a lower pre-reserved seat to enjoy the pre-game Skull Session festivities! Kickoff times are not currently announced for all future home games. Tours will begin approximately 3-4 hours prior to the kickoff time. Purchasers will be contacted by email the week of the game to let you know what time to arrive for your VIP tour. Tour Tickets do NOT include tickets to the actual game. Guests must arrive to the check-in location prior to the start of the tour – late arrivals on gameday can’t be accommodated. Guests will need to utilize standard gameday parking options – special parking is not provided to tour guests – plan for time to park and walk to Ohio Stadium!

New! Things You’ve Never Seen Tour
Go even further behind the scenes of Ohio Stadium – visiting places not available on a regular public tour! For one weekend only, Redcoats will take guests into the nooks and crannies of historic Ohio Stadium! Guests will visit the Athletic Director Suite, TV Broadcaster Booth, climb up to the Ohio Stadium Bell Tower, visit the old “Classrooms”, step inside the North Towers above the Rotunda, peek inside the Home Locker Room and more. The tour will end with an all-inclusive tailgate inside the Ohio Stadium Recruit Room with food & soda/water.

Tickets include an all-inclusive post-tour tailgate in the Ohio State Recruit Room with food & beverages, games on the TVs, tailgate games, and a cash bar.
It is suggested that guests are over the age of 12 years old and be physically capable of traversing long distances in the stadium. The tour is not designed for young children – strollers are not allowed. Guests will walk over a mile and climb dozens of steps, including steps to the top of C-Deck to visit the North Towers and steps into the Bell Tower. All guests will receive a special commemorative VIP credential, a 2025 Ohio Stadium Tours challenge coin featuring the National Championship logo (while supplies last) , and a digital photo package to remember the tour!

Join our Redcoat Tour Guides and the pups for a Buckeye Paws Tour on July 17th at Ohio Stadium! Each tour group will be joined by a member of Buckeye Paws. Frequently Asked Questions
Are tour stops & locations guaranteed?
No, all tour dates, times, and stops on the tour are subject to change without notice due to events in and around Ohio Stadium. We do our best to make as many stops available, but no locations is guaranteed including the field or locker room. Our booking calendar will generally notate when the field is unavailable for the day.
How long does a guided tour last?
The basic level Buckeye Tour lasts approximately one hour, while the extended VIP Tour will last approximately 90 minutes
How much walking is involved in the tour?
There is a fair amount of walking involved in an Ohio Stadium tour. Guests will travel on concrete, asphalt, up and down steps, ride elevators, and walk up and down ramps throughout Ohio Stadium. Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Are tours accessible?
Yes. Ohio Stadium Tours do involved traveling a long distance from stop to stop. Please reach out to us ahead of time by emailing ath-tours@osu.edu with any specific accommodations or needs you may have. A wheelchair is available at tour check-in, free of charge, for guests to use on a first come, first served basis.
Are outside food and beverages allowed in the stadium?
Although we do allow bottled water, all other outside food and beverages are prohibited, unless required for medical necessity. Concession stands will not be operational during tours.
Is parking included in the tour?
Parking fees are not included in the tour price. Paid parking is required in all lots and garages on Ohio State’s campus. Guests are encouraged to purchase parking in the nearby Tuttle Garage or the surface lots surrounding Ohio Stadium. Surface lots cost approximately $2.75/hour. Finding parking and walking to the Stadium Tour entrance can take time. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to get parked prior to your tour start time. Late arrivals can’t be accommodated.
Are photos or video recording allowed on the tour?
Video cameras and video recording of events or tours is prohibited. Small point and shoot cameras are permitted, though there may be stops on the tour where no photos are allowed. Photos inside the home team locker room is strictly prohibited. Those found taking photos in restricted areas will be immediately removed from the tour with no refund or reschedule.
Are strollers allowed on the tour?
Yes, strollers are permitted on the tour however they must remain on the sidelines during the field experience portion of your tour. Strollers will NOT be allowed on the playing surface or field turf. We are not responsible for any lost, missing, or stolen strollers.
Are service animals allowed on the tour?
Trained service animals are permitted on the tour.
Can I throw a football around while on the field?
No, Ohio Stadium is a special place! Outside sports equipment is not permitted to be brought or used inside Ohio Stadium.
When should I arrive prior to my tour?
Tour guides will start checking in guests 15 minutes prior to the start time of your tour. Guests should plan for ample time to find parking and walk to the entrance of the Huntington Club near Gate 23. Traffic can be busy around campus and finding open parking spaces can take time. Those that are late for their tour can’t be accommodated and will need to book another slot.
Are bags permitted on the stadium tour?
No bags are permitted inside Ohio Stadium. Wristlets, wallets, and clutches no larger than 5x8x1 are allowed. We suggest leaving most personal belongings locked in your vehicle. All persons and items entering Ohio Stadium are subject to security screening and inspection.
How do I redeem a Tour Gift Card?
If you previously purchased an Ohio Stadium Tour Gift Certificate, contact us at ATH-StadiumTours@osu.edu or call us at 614-292-6434 to setup your tour.
Can children take a tour?
Yes, though we suggest that children should be 6th grade and above, unless they are accompanied by a parent/guardian, to enjoy the tour. There is a fair amount of walking involved in an Ohio Stadium Tour. Children ages 2 and under are free and do not need a ticket.
What if I need to cancel a reservation?
No refunds will be provided once you book your tour. If you need to reschedule, reach out to us at ATH-StadiumTours@osu.edu prior to your tour date. We can reschedule your tickets to a future date (pending availability) one time, within one year of your original tour date. Those no showing to a tour date without a prior reschedule request, will not be provided a refund and can’t be rescheduled to a future date.
Can we rent out event spaces inside Ohio Stadium?
Yes, Ohio Stadium has many event spaces that you can rent for your party, business meeting, fundraiser gala, or office appreciation event. Please visit our Scarlet & Gray Venues webpage for information.
