The Buckeyes will compete in their final home series of the 2015 season at 5 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Saturday vs. No. 15 Minnesota. This marks the final time the 2015 seniors will compete in Value City Arena.
Read on for a Q&A with senior forward Darik Angeli
1. What sets Ohio State Hockey apart from other schools?
The tradition and the hard work everyone puts forth for one another sets us apart.
2. What is your most memorable experience as a Buckeye?
Good memory: sweeping Michigan in Michigan my freshman year or outdoor game in Minnesota.
Bad Memory: Losing in Big Ten Championship
3. What will you miss the most about playing for OSU?
I will miss seeing my best friends everyday and the supportwe received in so many areas.
4. What are your future plans?
My future plans are to play hockey.
5. How did the Boston Bruins’ camp refine you as a player?
It showed me how to prepare for the next level, both mentally and physically.
6. How do you prepare yourself before a game?
I usually just keep it loose and light. Get a coffee, bike ride, stretch, and sewer ball.
7. What makes you unique as a player?
My unique quality as a player is my speed for my size.
8. What is your earliest memory of playing hockey?
When I was 5 years old, coming off the ice for the first time skating at 6 am, smiling and telling my parents that I love this game.
9. What are your interests outside of hockey?
Movies, relaxing by the pool, trips with the boys, family time
10. What’s the best advice you’ve received from your coach?
Enjoy your time because it goes fast.
