Sabo joins AHL Penguins, Eisele with ECHL Gladiators
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Two more Ohio State men's hockey players have joined the #ProBucks ranks. Adam Eisele, a fourth-year graduate student in 2025-26, signed with the ECHL Atlanta Gladiators, while junior Broten Sabo agreed to a two-year contract with the AHL WIlkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins starting in 2026-27 and an amateur tryout agreement with the team for the remainder of this season.
Eisele, a forward from Lake Elmo, Minn., transferred to Ohio State after three years at Minnesota State, where he earned his bachelor's degree. He was selected an alternate captain for the Buckeyes and saw action in 36 of 37 games, tying for fourth on the team with 13 goals, adding seven assists for 20 points. In his collegiate career, Eisele played in 143 games, recording 79 points on 38 goals and 41 assists. He earned Big Ten Second Star of the Week accolades Nov. 18, 2025. Gladiators Release
Sabo, a native of Rosemount, Minn., led the Buckeye blueliners in scoring with 21 points, ranking third on the team with 19 assists. He came to Ohio State after two years at Alaska Fairbanks. In his three-year collegiate career, Sabo had 11 goals, 34 assists and 45 points in 95 games, along with 66 shot blocks. Penguins Release
