COLUMBUS, Ohio – With a 3-1 win over Bemidji State on Saturday at the OSU Ice Rink, the No. 2 Ohio State women’s hockey team earned a sweep of the Beavers and improved to 6-0-0 on the year. The team won Friday’s game against Bemidji State (1-3-0), 7-1.
How it Happened
Jenna Buglioni started the day’s scoring off in the 10th minute of action. She connected with Jenn Gardiner to give the Buckeyes a lead that they would not forfeit for the remainder of the game.
Sophie Jaques added Ohio State’s second goal at 15:37 in the first period to put Ohio State up two on the Beavers. Off assists from Teagan Grant and Liz Schepers, the senior sent her goal in from just before the blue line.
The Buckeyes and Beavers each recorded a goal in the second period. Gabby Rosenthal added her fourth goal of the weekend, scoring 3:05 into the period. She capitalized off Gardiner’s rebounded shot to extend the Buckeye lead. For Bemidji State, Taylor Nelson scored the team’s lone goal of the weekend at 17:21.
Raygan Kirk made her Buckeye debut in net in game two against Bemidji State. The junior from St. Anne, Manitoba made 13 saves in the contest to preserve the team’s unblemished record.

Ohio State hits the road next week to face No. 1 Wisconsin in Madison on Oct. 23 and 24. Saturday’s game is set for 3 p.m. ET while Sunday’s game, which will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network, is set for 4 p.m. ET.
