COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s gymnastics team heads to East Lansing, Mich. for a tri-meet against Michigan State and Nebraska on Saturday at 2 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Ohio State (0-2, 0-1 Big Ten) is coming off a 196.550-193.800 setback to No. 9 Iowa last Saturday. Sydney Jennings scored a 9.850 on vault and Ella Hodges had a 9.875 on beam to earn their first titles of the season. Elexis Edwards’ 9.825 on vault tied second while Jenna Swartzentruber’s 9.850 on bars tied for third.
LOOKING AT MICHIGAN STATE
Saturday’s meet will be the season opener for the Spartans. Michigan State was scheduled to open its campaign on the road at Maryland on Jan. 23 but the meet was postponed.
SCOUTING NEBRASKA
The Cornhuskers (1-1, 1-0 Big Ten) won their first Big Ten matchup of the season with a 195.250-195.100 victory over Penn State last weekend. Kynsee Roby, Makayla Curtis and Kaitlyn Higgins all shared the beam title with scores of 9.875.
NATIONAL RANKINGS
Nationally, Ohio State ranks 12th on beam (48.963) and 15th on vault (48.950).
