Sponsor Scarlet and Gray
Sponsor Scarlet / Sponsor Gray is a new program being implemented this year, providing alumni cheerleaders and friends of The Ohio State University Cheerleading Program a unique opportunity to support and mentor the current squad. At the end of August the members of the 2009 – 2010 cheerleading squad must report to Columbus several weeks before the start of fall quarter, leaving jobs (and home cooking) to participate in preseason functions, games, camp and practices. Sponsor Scarlet / Sponsor Gray is an effort to help current cheerleaders handle some of the expenses of being on campus before the dorms and cafeterias open for fall quarter by organizing simple dinners, providing gift cards for campus area restaurants, organizing potlucks for the squad or other in-kind support as determined by the host. The program provides a unique opportunity for mentoring relationships between current members and alumni members of the cheerleading team. This concept is an idea borrowed from TBDBITL and is the brainchild of TBDBITL alumni society member Curtis Littlegreen. TBDBITL implemented their program in 2006 and the program has been well received and continues to grow each year.

Donating Frequent Flyer Miles to the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Wings for Wishes program
The Ohio State University Alumni Cheerleading Society is making strides to give back to our Buckeye Community. The Alumni Cheerleading Society has teamed up with Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Greater Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana. Wings 4 Wishes is an opportunity for you to donate your Frequent Flyer Miles to Make-A-Wish children and their families and send them on trips of a lifetime. Be an angel and give a child your wings to fly!!!
