COLUMBUS, Ohio – History was made on Sunday afternoon at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium as senior Amanda Schlueter scored twice in a rapid second-half surge, becoming the first player in Ohio State women's soccer history to reach 100 career points while leading No. 8 Ohio State to a 3-1 comeback victory over Iowa.

Schlueter, who entered the match with 96 career points, scored back-to-back goals in the 64th and 67th minutes to cross the century mark and secure the top spot in program history.

Senior Jadin Bonham then added insurance with a penalty kick finish in the 71st minute as the Buckeyes netted three unanswered second-half goals.

Iowa grabbed the initial lead in the 37th minute when Sara Batchadji scored off an assist from Berit Parten. The Hawkeyes kept the pressure on in the first half, testing senior goalkeeper Peighton Northrup with four shots on target, but Northrup held strong with three saves to keep the Buckeyes within one at the break.

Ohio State came out aggressive in the second period, dominating possession and generating constant chances. The breakthrough came at the 63:58 mark when Schlueter found the back of the net to level the match at 1-1.

Less than three minutes later, she added another. In the 67th minute, Schlueter struck again to put the Buckeyes ahead 2-1 and officially achieved her 100th career point as a Buckeye.

Ohio State kept its foot on the gas, drawing a foul in the box just minutes later. Bonham stepped up in the 71st minute and calmly buried the penalty kick to put the game out of reach at 3-1. Northrup finished with four saves on the day to wrap up the victory.
