Jincy Dunne
Women's Hockey, 2017-20
Jincy Dunne is one of Buckeye hockey's best blue liners and was a key contributor to the program's rise to national prominence. A four-time captain, Dunne was a member of the program's first NCAA Tournament and Frozen Four team. The two-time WCHA Defensive Player of the Year and four-time All-WCHA performer also helped the team to its first WCHA Final Faceoff Championship in program history in 2020.
Dunne became the first player in program history to be named a two-time First Team All-American and is the only Buckeye to earn All-America honors three times in her career. The 2020 Ohio State Athlete of the Year skated in 147 games for her career and finished with 99 points on 17 goals and 82 assists.
Dunne also became the second Buckeye women's hockey player to represent the United States at the Olympic Games, helping the team to a silver medal finish in 2022. She is also a two-time IIHF Women's World Championship silver medalist for Team USA. Dunne currently plays in the Professional Women's Hockey League for the Minnesota Frost after being drafted to the league in its inaugural season in 2023.
