
Schlueter and Bramblett Named to Midfielders to Watch List

Ohio State ranked No. 17 in United Soccer Coaches preseason poll
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State seniors Amanda Schlueter and Ava Bramblett have been placed on the 2026 IWSOC/United Soccer Coaches Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Positional Players to Watch List for Midfielders, the organization announced Friday.
Schlueter is coming off a great season, which saw her put up 11 goals and earn All-Big Ten and United Soccer Coaches All-Region honors. She also had six assists, which put her at 24 for her career, the third most in program history. Schlueter's impressive total of 78 career points has earned her seventh in program history.
Bramblett has appeared in 58 matches, making 56 starts, over her career as a Buckeye. She has scored three goals in each of her three seasons on the team and has notched one assist per year in the past two years. After starting her career as a midfielder, she cemented her position in defense last season and is expected to do the same this year.
Also announced, the entire 2025 squad earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, with an average GPA of 3.47.
The Buckeyes open the season on the road against Clemson on Aug. 16. The home opener will be against Kansas in a double header with men's soccer on Wednesday, Aug. 20 at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
