COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's volleyball team (1-1) picked up its first win of the season, rolling to a straight-set victory (25-21, 25-15, 25-9) over Fresno State (1-1) on Saturday.

- The Bulldogs took an 11-6 lead, but the Buckeyes battled back, going on a 5-0 run that included kills from Alia Schoonover, Hannah Jones and Kalli Jioshvili-Ravva to tie the score, 11-11.
- Coming out of the media timeout, kills from Jones and Jioshvili-Ravva gave the Buckeyes the lead, 16-14.
- Fresno State got back ahead, but a monster kill from Naomy Govou put the Buckeyes within one point of the lead, 19-18.
- Back-to-back kills from Schoonover tied the score, 20-20. After a Fresno State timeout, a tip over the net from Govou and another kill from Schoonover put Ohio State ahead by three, 23-20.
- A solo block from Jones iced a 25-21 set one win for the Buckeyes.
- A block by Schoonover and Mia Tuman and a kill from Govou quickly put the Buckeyes ahead in the second set, 8-4.
- Two more kills from Govou and an ace from Tuman highlighted a 5-0 run that gave Ohio State a 13-6 lead over the Bulldogs.
- The Buckeyes took an eight-point lead, their largest of the set so far, helped by a kill from Jioshvili-Ravva and a block by Aneta Valentová and Jioshvili-Ravva.
- The Buckeyes led by six, 20-14, after libero Emily Avshalomov showed off her athleticism, keeping a rally alive after sliding to keep the ball in play off her foot, with the rally ultimately leading to an attack error by the Bulldogs.
- A block from Valentová and Tuman, followed by a kill from Valentová, led to set point for the Buckeyes, 24-14.
- The Buckeyes won the set, 25-15, on Govou's sixth kill of the night.
- The Buckeyes went on a 7-2 run, which included four kills from Jones, to open the third set.
- Three more kills from Govou gave the Buckeyes an eight-point lead over the Bulldogs, 15-7.
- Ohio State dominated the third set, going on an 8-0 run to close things out. Match point was secured on an ace from Schoonover as the Buckeyes downed the Bulldogs, 25-9 in set three, to win the match in straight sets.
- Jones led the Buckeye attack with 12 kills and Govou added a career-high 10 kills.
- Tuman had a team-high 30 assists and notched two aces.
- Schoonover had three aces, which led the team and tied her career high.
- Valentová led the Buckeyes with four total blocks and Avshalomov led the team in digs with 18.
