Henry Jr. Named on the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award Watch List

The five-star wide receiver recruit is set to begin his first season at Ohio State.
HONOLULU, Hawaii– Ohio State wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. was named to the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award Watch List, as announced by the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Thursday morning.
Henry Jr. was the nation's top-ranked wide receiver and the No. 10 overall player according to the 247Sports composite. He was a five-star prospect who was also the No. 1 player from the state of California.
Henry Jr. as the first player to give his verbal commitment in the 2026 recruiting class. He was named a Navy All-American and a Polynesian Bowl selection. Through a shortened senior season, he caught 24 passes for 588 yards and averaged nearly 25 yards per catch.

Finalists for the 2026 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award will be unveiled on December 8th, 2026 and the winner will be announced on December 15th, 2026. The presentation of the Award will be held during the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Celebration Dinner (January 16th, 2027), and they will also be recognized during the Polynesian Bowl (January 15th, 2027).
