Football Uniform Combinations
Ohio State's updated uniform combinations, first unveiled in May, reflect the program's continued effort to strengthen the Buckeyes' brand across all of sports while adding new branding opportunities at Ohio Stadium.
Beyond the "Helmet Stripe" concept detailed above for Ohio State's game vs. Kent State on Sept. 19, fans will be asked to match the team's uniform look on two other occasions during the 2026 season, creating a unified gameday atmosphere inside Ohio Stadium. When the Buckeyes wear its 'Tunnel Vision' combinations, fans will be encouraged to wear black, while the 'Scarlet Rush' games will call for a full scarlet-out across the Horseshoe.
All uniform combinations and corresponding field design elements will be announced on Friday before each game.
At this time, Ohio State has only announced four game times, and other broadcast information will be shared during the season as announced by the Big Ten Conference.
AI-Powered Wi-Fi 7 Comes to Ohio Stadium
Ohio Stadium is set to become a national leader in venue connectivity with a full upgrade to Juniper Mist Wi-Fi 7, powered by artificial intelligence. The project, scheduled for completion ahead of the 2026 season, will expand the stadium network from approximately 1,800 to more than 2,000 access points, improving both coverage and capacity throughout the venue. The deployment will be the largest of its kind in a U.S. stadium.
The AI-managed system will streamline network operations through automation, real-time monitoring, and predictive insights, enhancing connectivity for more than 100,000 fans on gameday. Improvements will be particularly noticeable in high-density areas such as entry gates, concourses, and the seating bowl during the game.
Expanded Express Entry with Facial Authentication
Ohio State is expanding its Express Entry program in partnership with Wicket, making the Buckeyes just the second university nationally to implement facial authentication for ticketing at scale. After a successful rollout in premium areas and for students in 2025, the program will expand to include certain public gates in 2026. The technology allows fans to enter Ohio Stadium using secure facial authentication, creating a faster and more seamless entry experience.
Enhanced Mobile Ticketing and Fraud Protection
Ohio State Athletics has introduced new mobile ticketing features designed to better protect fans and reduce fraud. Dynamic barcodes will now appear in ticket accounts within 48 hours of an event through Ticketmaster's "in-app" technology. Fans can still add to their phone's mobile wallet prior to the 48-hour timeframe for easy entry into the stadium. Additionally, mobile parking passes will transition from static QR codes to the same secure in-app system with dynamic barcodes and Apple/Google Wallet technology.
Verified Resale Tickets for the 2026 Season
Single game tickets for some games will sellout. However, it is important to note that inventory directly from Ohio State Athletics as well as verified resale tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com, OhioStateBuckeyes.com and via the Ohio State Buckeyes app. The Department of Athletics firmly encourages fans to protect themselves from potential fraud by utilizing these sites for purchasing resale tickets over any other resale ticket options.

Experience game day inside The 'Shoe like never before with a Buckeye Experience. Choose from 13 unique opportunities, including a pregame photo on the 50-yard line; sideline passes to watch warmups, a personalized videoboard message, the chance for a child to serve as an anthem buddy on the field, and VIP seats for Skull Session. VIP Buckeye Experiences elevate the day even further with a parking pass, on-floor access to Skull Session at St. John Arena, a walk alongside the team and an all-inclusive meal in the Varsity O Club.
