No electronic data is being created, stored, processed or transmitted by The Ohio State University. Any data creation, storage, processing and transmittal is solely with Wicket. What is Express Entry?
- Ohio State University Athletics is now offering express entry featuring seamless and quick access to Ohio Stadium. Your face is your ticket for the event.
Can anyone enroll in Express Entry?
- Enrollment will only be open initially to Ohio State student ticket holders for the 2025 football season.
How much does it cost to enroll in Express Entry?
- Nothing; enrolling is free of charge.
How do I enroll in Express Entry?
- You can enroll in Express Entry by clicking the link https://enroll.wicketsoft.com/osu/. You will be prompted to sign in to your Ticketmaster account and take a selfie to associate your face with your account using the Express Entry option. You can also enroll in Express Entry on game day by using the QR codes available near the student gates.
How does Express Entry work?
- Once enrolled, enter the venue through the Express Entry lane and your face will be authenticated at the entry gate.
What gates utilize Express Entry?
- There are 2 designated entrances: Gate 34 (Block O – General Admission) & Gates 36-38. Only students with Block O tickets may enter at Gate 34.
Do I have to enroll in Express Entry for each game and each sport?
- No, once you’re enrolled in Express Entry you are set for all Ohio State Athletics events that utilize this technology. This can also be used for future events, even for multiple years. If you were previously enrolled in Express Entry, you can continue using it without needing to sign-up again.
Does each ticket on my account have to be enrolled to enter the venue via Express Entry?
- No, only the ticket account holder needs to enroll in Express Entry. If you have multiple tickets in one account, all tickets can be authenticated at the same time to speed up the entry process.
Does registering for Express Entry prevent me from transferring or selling my tickets?
- No, registering for Express Entry does not prevent you from transferring or selling your tickets. When you arrive, only the active tickets in your account will be eligible for authentication and admission. Tickets you have transferred or sold will be active in the recipient’s account and they can enroll in Express Entry if they wish.
If tickets were transferred to me, can I still use Express Entry?
- Yes, if the tickets have been properly accepted in your Ticketmaster account you can register for Express Entry.
With Express Entry will I still need to save my ticket on my phone?
- Express Entry uses facial authentication at the gates. So, you will not need your phone when trying to enter. Please keep in mind, you will still need your mobile ticket on your phone once inside the venue to verify your seat location with a redcoat/usher.
What is the difference between facial authentication and facial recognition?
- Express Entry utilizes facial authentication which confirms you have tickets to the game by matching your face to a photo you register in advance, like using your face to unlock your phone. Facial recognition, which Ohio State IS NOT USING, tries to figure out who you are by scanning an area with a camera and comparing your face to a larger database of many people whether you opted in or not.
How does Ohio State University use and protect my data?
- Express Entry is a program provided by The Ohio State University through Wicket. With use of the Express Entry services, you are consenting to Wicket's terms of use and privacy policies.
- Your data is only used to provide you with fan experience programs, such as Express Entry. The data may be available to service providers who help operate, maintain, and secure the programs, but your data is not shared with third parties or our services providers unless required by law, and the data will never be sold.
- The service providers who administer this program securely protect this data via encryption and industry-best practices.
- No photos are stored or shared on the entry devices.
- Express Entry is free to use and completely optional.
- You can opt out at any time by emailing access-optout@wicketsoft.com. Once you opt-out, all your information, including your source photo, will be permanently deleted within one (1) week of sending your opt-out request.
