COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State senior defenseman Cullen Brown is the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Buckeyes' regular season finale victory over Michigan. The award is his third of the season.
Brown wrapped up the regular season with five ground balls and a team-high three caused turnovers against the Wolverines. The Buckeye defense held Michigan to just one goal in the second and third quarters as the team recovered from a three-goal first quarter deficit to come away with the 9-8 win and earn a share of the Big Ten regular season title.
The Silver Spring, Md. native also tallied a goal, his second of his career, in the game. He scored the Buckeyes' second goal of the game to start a three-goal scoring run that helped the team erase the early Michigan lead.
