COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s lacrosse team is the 2026 co-Big Ten regular season champion. The Buckeyes finished with a 3-2 record in conference play to tie Johns Hopkins, Maryland and Penn State for the regular season title.
“I’m proud of our team and the resilience and fight it has shown over the last month to get to this point,” head coach Nick Myers said. “Our men have worked extremely hard to earn this trophy and we are grateful to be able to have it in Columbus for the second straight year. Now, our focus is onto the Big Ten Tournament and the opportunity to continue our season with one more game at home.”
Ohio State is the back-to-back regular season champion after winning its first title as a member of the Big Ten Conference last season. The title is Ohio State’s 14th conference championship all-time and the third in Myers’ tenure.
The Buckeyes battled in the gauntlet that is the Big Ten men’s lacrosse schedule, earning three victories in five games, playing four ranked teams and winning two games against top 10 opponents. Four of the team’s five games were decided by one goal and two went to overtime.
Ohio State is the four seed in the 2026 Big Ten Men’s Lacrosse Tournament with the tiebreakers that push the Blue Jays, Nittany Lions and Terrapins into the top three seeds, respectively. The Buckeyes will host a quarterfinal matchup against Michigan noon Saturday, April 25 at Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium. Tickets will go on sale Monday at 10 a.m.
