COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's golf team closes out the regular season this weekend, hosting the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational (THBI) Saturday, April 17-Sunday, April 18. Teams will play two rounds on Saturday and one round on Sunday. Both will have an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.Â

The home team lineup consists of Kary Hollenbaugh, Sophie Eppelstun, Nellie Ong, Matilde Santilli, and Mandy Song. Marina Joyce-Moreno will compete as an individual. Â

The Buckeyes look to capture their 20th title in tournament history, entering as four-time defending champions. Last year, the Buckeyes held an 11-stroke lead over second-place Michigan State to take home the hardware. Ohio State led the field in pars (175), eagles (two), par-4 scoring (4.15), and par-5 scoring (4.88).Â

Kary Hollenbaugh, last year's individual champion, returns to defend her title on home course turf in what will be her final regular-season tournament as a Buckeye. Through 21 rounds this season, she is averaging a 73.4.Â

Freshman Sophie Eppelstun has made an impact in her first season as a Buckeye. She placed third at the Spartan Suncoast Invitational this spring and is currently averaging a 74.3 through 21 rounds.Â

Junior Nellie Ong has had her score counted in 20 of 21 rounds played for the Buckeyes this season and is averaging a 73.5 through those 21 rounds.Â

Freshman Matilde Santilli has had contributing scores in 78% of this season's matches and is averaging a 75 through 21 rounds.Â

Sophomore Mandy Song delivered a standout performance at the Dayton Invitational earlier this season, finishing runner-up. She is averaging a 75.4 through 18 rounds.Â
