Tyack notches six points, Torres makes 10 saves
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's lacrosse team wrapped up an undefeated three-game homestand with a 16-4 win over Vanderbilt Saturday in Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium. The Buckeyes, now 5-2 on the year, led 5-3 after the first quarter and allowed just one goal the rest of the way vs. Vanderbilt (3-5).

Kate Tyack led Ohio State with four goals and six points, while Annie Hargraves and Brooke Vinson each had a hat trick and goalie Jocelyn Torres made 10 saves. Maddy Paz posted a five-point day with a goal and four assists and Camryn Callaghan notched two goals and an assist for three points. Abby Boyle recorded five draw controls and Darrien Furiness had a team-best three ground balls, while Kampbell Stone had three draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers. Ohio State held Vandy scoreless for a 45 minute stretch.

- Each team scored twice before the end of the quarter. Vanderbilt tallied at 6:56, answered by Tyack, set up by Maddy Paz, at 4:55.
- The Commodores responded for a 4-2 game at 4:55.
- The final goal came on a fast break, with Camryn Callaghan leading Tyack for a breakaway at 1:35 after the Buckeyes forced a turnover near the midfield. The Buckeyes led 5-3 through 15 minutes.
- Ohio State stretched the lead to 11-3 at the half.
- Hargraves and Callaghan tallied unassisted in the first 1:25 of the second quarter and Callaghan converted a free position chance at 8:03.
- Â Paz set up back-to-back goals by Maeve Simonds at 4:00 and Vinson at 1:38.
- Vinson tallied with 50 seconds left before the half, assisted by Tyack.
- The Buckeyes notched the only two goals of the third quarter for a 13-3 lead and running clock.
- A Hargraves free position shot gave her a hat trick at 10:57 and Paz scored unassisted at 8:12.
- In the fourth, Ohio State scored the first three goals before Vanderbilt ended the scoring with 3:44 left. The Vandy goal ended a 45 minute scoreless streak.
- Paz set up Tyack at 11:53 and Vinson and Lindsey Moneymaker converted free position chances at 10:28 and 8:24. Â
- A lightning delay with 1:40 left suspended the game and the decision was made to end the contest at that time.
- Ohio State outshot Vanderbilt, 31-21. Buckeye goalie Jocelyn Torres played 56:53 and had 10 saves on 14 shots. Camille Samarasinghe closed out the final 1:39. Vandy's goalie made six saves.
- The Buckeyes had the edge in ground balls, 10-9, and draw controls, 14-8. Ohio State was perfect on 17 clears.
- Abby Boyle was first for Ohio State with five draw controls and Delaney Harlan and Audrey Rudolph each had two.
- Darrien Furiness was first with three ground balls, with Stone and Callaghan each recording two.
- Stone also had two caused turnovers.

- Paz had a career-high four assists and five points in the game. She is third on the team with 12 goals and 20 points, tying for second with eight assists, all career highs. She has six-straight multiple-point games.
- Callaghan has a team-high 20 goals and shares the point lead with 28 points, tying for second with eight assists. She now has 214 career points (177g, 37a). Callaghan has a point in each of her last 22 games, with a 58-14-72 line in the stretch.
- Tyack is second for the Buckeyes with 17 goals and tied for first with 28 points, including a team-best 11 assists. She is on a 13-game point streaks (29g, 41p).
