
Jaloni Cambridge Garners Big Ten Weekly Honor Roll Spot

Cambridge scored her 1,000th career point in Sunday’s win at Oregon.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Big Ten Conference announced its weekly women's basketball awards on Monday. Sophomore Jaloni Cambridge was named to the Big Ten Weekly Honor Roll for the fourth consecutive week and sixth time this season. Â

Cambridge led the Buckeyes to road wins at No. 24/25 Washington and Oregon this past week. She became the 40th player in program history to score 1,000 career points, doing so in her 54th career game on Sunday. Cambridge averaged a team-high 22.5 points and 5.0 assists per game in last week's wins, also averaging 6.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 17-of-30 (.567) from the field and a perfect 11-of-11 from the charity stripe. She was second on the team in rebounding (only to the starting center).

At Washington, Cambridge recorded her 14th 20-point game of the season and her fourth consecutive game with 25 or more points, tying for a game-high 26 points and adding seven rebounds, a pair of assists and a steal. She was 12-of-21 (.571) from the floor – her eighth game of the season with 10 or more field goals made. At Oregon, Cambridge finished with 19 points, tied her career-high eight assists, totaled six rebounds and a pair of steals. She was 9-of-9 from the free throw line.

This season, Cambridge is tied for second in the Big Ten with 22.5 points per game and also ranks in the top 10 in steals (2.1) and assists (4.5). She ranks in the top 10 in the country in points, points per game and field goals made. Despite playing in less games than last season, Cambridge already has career-highs in field goals made (215), three-pointers made (30), free throws made (103), rebounds (139), assists (113), blocks (8) and points (563). She's scored at least 10 points in each of the Buckeyes' 25 games.
