No. 19 Buckeyes open 2026 season March 28
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Amelia Boes, a senior on the Ohio State Rowing team, has been named a player to watch by the Colllegiate Rowing Coaches Association, the organization announced Monday.Â
Emily Gackowski, in her second year as head coach of the Buckeyes, said Boes has earned the recognition.Â
"Our whole staff is really proud of what Amelia has accomplished in a short amount of time," Gackowski said. "She started as a walk-on with zero rowing experience and has climbed to the top of the sport in just three and a half years. She's a great athlete, a great teammate and is incredibly deserving of this recognition. Really proud of her and excited to support her as she finishes her career here and with anything she pursues after college."
The Buckeyes open the 2026 season at home against Michigan, Alabama, Notre Dame and Oklahoma in Ohio State's Spring Regatta at the Griggs Reservoir.
