Ohio State Athletics Weekend Update

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Expected inclement winter weather this weekend around the region has already affected a number of intercollegiate athletics sporting events at The Ohio State University.

The men's volleyball match against Lincoln Memorial University, scheduled for Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Covelli Center, has been canceled. The scheduled match set for today (Friday) at 7 p.m. between the Buckeyes and the Railsplitters at the Covelli Center will still take place. There is no admission charge to attend.
The starting time for the artistic swimming team's OSU Invite Saturday has been moved up to 1 p.m. from 2 p.m. The event will take place at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
The women's gymnastics meet scheduled for Sunday at 6 p.m. between Ohio State and Illinois at the Covelli Center has been moved to Saturday at 2 p.m. Fans who have previously purchased tickets but who no longer can attend because of the schedule change can request a refund or exchange their ticket(s) for another women's gymnastics meet this season by contacting the OSU Ticket Office at athletic.tix@osu.edu or by calling 1-800-GOBUCKS. Customer service representatives are available via phone Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. EST.
The women's lacrosse scrimmage vs. Notre Dame Saturday has been moved inside the Woody Hayes Athletics Center and will not be open to the public.
The schedule for ITA Kickoff Weekend, hosted by the men's and women's tennis programs, has been adjusted. Saturday now features the men's consolation between Old Dominion and North Alabama at 10 a.m., followed by a first round women's match between UC Santa Barbara and Iowa at 1 p.m. The No. 6 Buckeye men will take on Purdue in the championship match at 4 p.m. Ohio State now receives a bye to the women's championship and will face the UCSB/Iowa winner at noon Sunday. Admission and parking are free, with all matches in the Ty Tucker Tennis Center.
