Puff Johnson to Join 2025-26 Men’s Basketball Roster

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State head coach Jake Diebler has announced that Puff Johnson will join the Ohio State men’s basketball program this season.
Johnson was granted a temporary restraining order by a Franklin County Court of Common Pleas on Friday and has been deemed immediately eligible to play this season.
“We’re excited for Puff to join our program,” said Diebler. “This has been a long process for he and his family. We’re happy for them and are looking forward to him getting on the court.”
Johnson began his career in 2020-21 at North Carolina. He then transferred to Penn State prior to the 2023-24 season and averaged a career-high 10.2 points and 4.4 rebounds in 2024-25.
