
Webster Earns NFHCA Offensive Player of the Week Honors

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State field hockey graduate student Makenna Webster was named the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Offensive Player of the Week, announced on Wednesday.
Webster, who was also named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, helped the Buckeyes to victories over Ball State and Kent State in their opening weekend.
In a 7-0 shutout at Ball State, Webster scored a then-career-high four goals to lead the team.
In the Buckeyes' home opener, a 9-3 win over the Golden Flashes, Webster was explosive, netting a career-high six goals and notching one assist. Her six scores are a single-game program record.
On the week, Webster scored 10 goals and tallied 21 total points.
The Buckeyes are back in action this weekend, hosting the Big Ten/ACC Challenge at Buckeye Varsity Field. Ohio State faces Virginia at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and Syracuse at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
